34: Denton, TX @ Rubber Gloves
w/ Magnolia Electric Company and David Vandervelde
After many months of talking and plotting, the Bourbon and BBQ Tour was finally underway. Magnolia asked us to do two weeks’ worth of shows, but we could only do the last eight due to Matt’s touring schedule with The New Year.
I don’t remember much about this one, except that it was like our 500th show at Rubber Gloves for the year, and only our second local show since June. (The other one was also on a Monday night, opening up for The Coke Dares.) So there!
We definitely played these songs on this tour, though in what order I’ll never recall:
- Delcaring Space
- The Visible Hand
- The Engineer
- Tiny Executive
- The Illustrator
- Faulkner’s Blues
- Measured Against
- “Toward St. Ambroise” (working title)
- “The Baker’s Wife” (working title)
