w/ True Widow, Shiny Around the Edges, and some nice kids from Alabama whose name I can’t recall right now.

Holy shit, what a great night. Friendly, hospitable folks, these Annex House people. They cooked us dinner and had lots of cute dogs, which is pretty much all it takes to make me happy. Lots of Modelo and Tecate and humidity and enthusiastic, happy kids. We played pretty good, I think! Was very happy to finally see True Widow and talk to Dan about Daniel Higgs playing Star Trek covers in Utrecht. Shiny slayed as well, one of the better sets I’ve seen from them.

Afterward, we drove around the worst parts of Downtown Dallas for two hours trying to find the highway. When we finally arrived at Fuel City for tacos, it was a mindfuck of a nightmare, so we bailed for lil’ D and gave Taco Cabana more of our money.
