There’s something sorta relieving about the curtain rising to an empty theater as you start your set. Like, you can do whatever the hell you want — tell bad jokes, flub bad jokes, lie outright to the bartenders. Nevermind that we do this every show, regardless of the crowd.

Anyhow, we had a grand time, really. The Granada Theater, they treat you right. The other bands, we like them a lot. I’ve known some of the guys in these bands for 15 years! Shit!
