69: Oak Bluffs, MA / Martha’s Vineyard @ The Dive Bar

So Howard and Matt drive 31 hours from Texas in a minivan, and instead of the typically beautiful late-summer weather we were hoping for, we’re met with a whale of a nor’easter. Oh well, that didn’t stop us from eating lobster rolls, apple fritters, and fried clams like they were the last food on Earth.

This was the Ferries’ first show ever, and they slayed as you would expect them to. 8 songs, 20 minutes, lots of dancing even! We somehow managed to follow them with a respectable display of our tunes that seemed to make people happy. That’s what it’s all about, right?

We stayed at Elisha and Aly’s amazing home on the southern edge of the Vineyard and enjoyed the quaintness of it all. This, motherfuckers, is how you start a tour off right.
